IanLooking at the most recent satelite shot of Ian (NOAA) , you can see the pinwheel shape of a hurricane starting to form now . The tracking also suggests a more westerly path but until the storm becomes hurricane , it is harder to predict . The strength and path should be a little more clear tomorrow at this time .
Next week could see some course changing events , how far Putin will push these one sided referendums and attempting to annex this Ukrainian territory should play out this week . It seems Russians aren't as keen on the 300,000 reserves called up as Putin is , more Russian chaos . China lockdowns are finished in several cities and they desperitely want to get the economy restarted . Now I am reading rumours of Xi Jinping under house arrest with a millirary coup d'etat BUT this is unconfirmed so far . I'll keep looking into that .
There are now only 5 trading days left in the quarter , next week we are already into October . I'm not sure if the doomsday attitude will continue on Monday but the upside tailwind pressure is building . We'll see if the paper market or world events drive the price as the week progresses .
