Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:It's great to add inventory for sure but near term.. I don't think many BTE holders are happy with this deal, totally blind sided me. I sold half my position at a good time, letting the rest play out. Lack of transparency from BTE, even outright BS from them is frustrating, that being said, this deal looks ok to me. No expert here, but I don't see these debt numbers ? I see 987M + 650M total net USD debt? Very possible I am not looking close enough ... what am I missing? Looks like a strong long play, chances of a serious oil crash looks low, inventories in the big picture are still low. High interest rates can only last a year or so. Good chance of a GOP win in 2024. All this is a long play, still annoying, but I do want to understand the true debt numbers.
