Here, all we get is yellow fin. But to me they still taste fantastic! I can't imagine what a Scotian Shelf blue fin tastes like.
Yeah, the value proposition. All of this back and forth is essentially a discussion about different perceptions of value. Like a person in Halifax would not pay $33,000 for a blue fin tuna cause they'd invest the money instead to buy a boat to catch them to sell to the Japanese.

Or blue fin is just Canadian dilbit wcs heavy oil to us. Not worth much. 20% discount to wti. Well why do the Japanese pay $33,000 for a f'n fish with a blue fin? Because they're scarce! My working thesis is that heavy oil is becoming ever more scarce on the planet. If you wanna build roads you need asphalt. That comes from heavy oil, not light.
