Step right up, it's your (un)lucky day

I've been thinking we should run a board pool to guess the day that Baytex cracks 5 bucks, unlucky sells, and he's gone
I'll go with February 8.
unlucky, get your sell order in now, you don't want to miss out. Your dad will thank you.

My father is in his early 80s and of sound mind.  He just beat Covid.  I do wish to pay him back before he passes or loses his mind or becomes too old.  I have become greedy and told him I need $5 to break even.  I am actually up $150000 on BTE as of today beyond what I owe my Father.  I am going to let it ride and sell at $6 given recent circumstances and then pay him ...more

If your up $150k and borrowed $150k to get it, then at $4.72 your break even is $2.36....if BTE goes down to $2.99 your 63559 shares are still worth $190,042. I would still be pretty happy with a 40k gain. Go pay your dad back and live guilt free.

Well $3.50 is my current break even.  I have 100000 shares and some are on margin.  To keep up margin and stock losses along the way I borrowed $150000.

$3.22 is my break even approximately.  At one point I was down $275000 plus, my goal is to be up $275000 and get out of energy.  But need $6 a share.  The stock isn't moving fast enough.

As if I would make up borrowing money from my elderly father to pay off my debts.  I first bought BTE at $50 and have been angry at this for over seven years, as I was down $300000 and in deeply I. The red for years.  It has come back and I am up now but still uneasy about it and am getting greedy to try to go for $6.  I want some extra bacon and cheddar before I pay back my Father. ...more

Wow what a story. You have nerves of steel to handle so much pressure and stress for such a long time. I am totally opposite. Due sepculate all the but take calculated risks. Usually very diversified. Never use margin. If a trade or investment starts to go south cut my loses fast and fold the position. Always have a reserve fund to get out of a bad situation by multiplying the position to average ...more

I am very fortunate that I might end up with a successful finish.  I easily could have been wiped out for the rest of my life.  I made every mistake possible by chasing losses on margin.

You are so full of it unlucky. Your story changes every month when the reality is you are a broke loser who made a terrible investment. I hope lying about your actual return makes you feel a little better because it certainly doesnt give you any credibility in the least.

I have nothing to lie about.  I spit facts and my story.  I hope this keeps going up but no guarantees and this could sink tomorrow on the API news.
