Air Canada plans to increase flights 150% for 2022
Air Canada is a small player in the aviation industry but probably the largest airline in Canada. If they are making these kind of statements then it would be safe to say that the rest of the industry will be increasing also. I work in the aviation industry and these commercial aircraft including cargo aircraft take large amounts of fuel, karosene is what jet they run on. This is a buy product of crude and conciderd a lower grade of fuel but large amounts are required to fill those wings and auxiliary tanks. The summer driving season in my opinion will drive oil higher even if gasoline is more expensive due to the fact of the average family might not have thousands to spend on family vacations with air travel costs also rising. The day trips, closer to home vacations will be front and center this year.

Wild, agree if others follow suit this is great for demand. Also I know many in the industry were negatively impacted by COVID....I'm sure an increase in travel demand will be very welcome for all those employees ans families. This is good news.
