Maybe he knew or not... it doesn't matter. If BTE can pull earnings of at least 0.80 cents per Q we can get to Nutall's price target. With energy, it's always politics politics and politics!

Nuttall for sure knew this was in the works and it's likely that Greager asked him what he has to do to make it good for Nuttall and Ninepoint. Nuttall's response: Increase shareholder returns sooner. And that's what he got.

I agree. Without the acquisition bte would need $100+ oil to get to Nuttall's target. I don't think he was talking BS.

Page 12 of the PowerPoint presentation. on closing: 50% of free cash flow allocated to debt repayment upon closing and a newly established total debt target of 1.5B. Would be nice to see max payment on debt reduction,  screw the buyback for now. Positive is double the free cash flow with a lower wti break even price, plus dividend Oct 2023. I like the buybacks. I say screw the dividend, but then some boys need the yield. Why the 1.6% yield when you can 5% gic at your corner bank??
