It baffles me that people think Juniper should be married...

to Baytex.

Juniper invested in Ranger, not Baytex, so when Baytex decided to take a run at Ranger why are people so concerned that Juniper might want to redeploy the $700 MILLION US investment and diversify elsewhere?

Just business IMO...

That was the problem with Juniper. They ended up with almost 20% of a company that they didn't care for or didn't want to invest in. We all knew that they were going to offload their shares sooner or later which isn't the issue. It's the amount of shares that they owned which could affect the value of baytex. Thank goodness WTI is above $90 which helps this stick from dropping a ...more

Why is that an issue it's in the past every investor new what they were dealing with and decided accordingly if they wanted to invest. I think its impressive a buyer picked up 51 million shares. I wish it was baytex being able to afford it to reduce the float.

Even though I believed that this was an issue I still believed that Baytex was worth the risk. I even sold some Ath, POU and Tou to add to my position.Im long on this stock

There's no reason not to believe unless the cycle is over 51 million shares just moved to hands that must believe the cycle is in tact and energy stocks will go higher. No?
