In the past a gold stock I used to own was being played like that on a daily basis and I got so mad that I actually filed a complaint to the OSC and gave them the times and the dates that such nonsence happened. I received a nice e-mail from one of their "officials" acknowledging my concerns and said they will have their people look into it. As it turned out that was the only action they took on my complaint - a form e-mail promising some form of action. LOL.
I assume the OSC is likely swarmed with complaints like this and they just don't have the manpower or resources to do anything. Unlike the compalints/whistle blowing tips to Revenue Canada they are followed up 100%!! What a efficeint government agaency the federal government runs! Perhaps we should have let the PCs establish a national regulatory agency (like the SEC in the U.S.) so that we know such nonsense would not be tolerated.
