If bitcoin, as some say, can go to a million, then gold could certainly go to 50k. Mostly a matter of how worthless our fiat currency becomes.

In the meantime and while we wait to reach the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, I just wanted to point out to previous Sabina Gold shareholders that your SBB shares are right now worth a messily $ 1.67 a share Good job on voting for this merger. JMHO

Troyhorse you really know how to hurt a guy!! I've been waiting for McLeod to resurface so I can send him another nasty letter!!! But I think he must be on a 100 foot yacht somewhere as he received 2 years severance as part of the deal. At least his shares in BTO, also aquired as part of the arrangement, have tanked along with ours - a small comfort!! LOL.

I'm bullish on gold but also realistic.  Not a chance. I've been hearing this kind of talk since the 80's

Google YouTube, Doug Casey on the Phil Donahue show back around 1980 after gold spiked to $800. Sell or remortgage the house and put it all into gold, was his advice back then. Don't get me wrong,  I am bullish on gold however you gotta take all these extremist with a humongous grain of salt and use your own common sense. Gold will not be $50,000 in our lifetime. I'll bet on it.

You make a good point. No doubt you would win that bet.

I had a freind who bought 1000 oz of silver at $50 back in 1981 if it remember correctly. He borrowed the money. 50k was a lot of money back then. A couple of years  later silver went from 50 to around  5. I ran into him 10 years later . He was still working his...  off to pay back the loan.  I lost some money too. But I only bought 5 oz of gold at 800 so no big deal. Imagine ...more

In year 2000 gold was at $200+ and this was when I started to bang the gold drum and I was preaching to all of my friends and co-workers that gold is going to $1000 and they all laughed at me and they said if gold goes to $1000  a loaf of bread will be $100 bucks and we will all go hungry blaw, blaw, blaw. Well well well, gold went to $1000 and today gold is over $2000 and a loaf of bread ...more
