I've been wondering about the same thing. I believe that Burcon has mentioned that they are working on purifying protein from cannabis/hemp. Not sure how far along they are in developing this.

Of course they are!   Burcon management already said this in their news release!  The analysts at various firms have also said the same thing....the extension to business with other proteins such as hemp, mung will be MASSIVE in itself! The game is well and truly on here with Burcon.  Nasdaq listing, institutionla buying the SP will be $5 + by year end.

Pea and Canols technology is now wrapped up in the Merit project.    Burcon can now take the revenue stream from this JV and then develop and partner on Hemp and other plant proteins.  Lots of potential here for this technology, watch it ramp again when this type of news hits the market!

Let's see what happens after more investors know of the company. It's not well known at this time. However, it appears to becoming more so as the volume has picked up in the last few weeks. Exciting times....I'm extremely happy I found this company last year.
