New year old pattern
As I said, I expected at least a short-term hype at the beginning of the year until Tergesen's next show in February, but it seems I am wrong.

speculators and optimists actually buy at the beginning of the year, but even they seem to have lost interest in Burcon. in addition, there are always very well-informed circles at companies like Burcon, so the quarter just ended does not seem to have brought a turnaround.

LOL basher001 there are well-informed circles at companies at Burcon who are lucky that some weak hands offer (forced by your bashing) cheap shares and they buy them - or who else is it dear readers ???

News - https://stockhouse.com/news/press-releases/2022/01/10/burcon-announces-ceo-transition I would think that has to be considered good news.

These things are usually bad in the short term, especially when there is no successor named. Tmr could be ugly. Might turn out positive in the long term though. Company definitely needed a major shake up.

DealDone, I suspect you are probably right about tomorrow but I dont know how anyone could possibly think this is not GREAT for the long-term. Tergesen was NOT a good manager and I wonder if he was asked to leave or left of his own volition? Interesting for sure and I view it as a huge positive for the long-term.

Yes, I find it strange that he his leaving before even a successor is found.

So no negative reaction of the stock whatsoever. Interesting. What is the most reasonable interpretation here? Those that still hold Burcon shares are kind of relieved, which is why they can stomach the added uncertainty for the moment?

so many postings here against Tergesen so why should there be a drop i am still quite sure that this is step one of a masterplan leading to a merger or takeover

I am not really surprised that there is no reaction as ittle market interest anyway and I think many view his departure as very positive for Burcon, Time will tell but it is interesting that no successor is already in place - or maybe there is and we havent heard about it yet. Or, maybe, he was finally found to be lacking the skills needed to take the company to the next level.
