Your shares aren't rendered worthless per se with a delisting, but you will potentially lose the ability to trade the shares such that you are at the mercy of holding onto your stock throughout the whole of bankruptcy preceedings. 

To simplify things, if there is money leftover for shareholders after a liquidation, it will be distributed by a trustee toward the end of the process on a pro rata basis.
