Not bad.  Assuming that mostly ships, that could be huge.

Every +$10 = $3M annual earnings.  So lumber has risen about $300M or so.  So they are up to $90M annually, would like to see earnings of $20M+ in Q3 which would be a barn burner.

I couldn't access the call for some reason, so will have to listen the replay (mostly for Q&A). No real surprises here.  Nice to see they are reducing costs and should be very profitable the rest of the year with reset stumpage fees and sky high lumber prices. Of note too is that after Q3 there should be $0 debt left in the lumber segment with the remaining $62M on the power loan ...more

I just cut myself off the call too halfway through but posted my notes as far in as I got. It's all very positive, save for the one bone of contention I have. Ken's getting the full court press about returning capital to shareholders.  An NCIB would help but would not make this any less hairy and preclude the whole group of institutional who want cash, not some bozo arbitrarily ...more
