It's an interesting point. Scientifically, it's very unwise to assume a vaccine will do much to halt the pandemic... but it's also clear that lots of the public are living in hopes of one. We can see that from all the headlines charting vaccine progress and all the talk about "until a vaccine comes along."

So, it's quite possible that the first bit of definite positive news about a vaccine might cause a spike of optimistic investment in this and other businesses that could gain from an effective vaccine. It'd be an irrational thing but maybe good for a short-term bet anyway. The timing is difficult to gauge, though.
