You had to be delusional if you actually thought people were afraid of leaving their houses outside of what you see on social media. Not that I think you did, but some on the board seem to.

Looking across the country on the Cineplex site it seems that Toronto Scotiabank, Vancouver Scotiabank, and to a lesser extent Ottawa are having the most success selling Tenet seats with a lower take up in the other Toronto theatres, the western provinces (except BC) and to the east.

movie theaters should increase ticket prices by 50% to compensate for the spaced seating and the loss of popcorn sales

No, they are really not - year over year numbers are frightenly bad!! Canadians are NOT returning to the movie theatres or the RECroom anytime soon. People are watching movies at home and they are not going to take C19 risk by going to a movie....unfortunately, CGX will eventually adopt CCAA......

I can assure they are. Just saw Tenet in the IMAX Sunday night. Fully packed except the odd social distance seats. Movie is subpar to bear the Nolan name but that is another story. I absolutely loved the experience again and trust me I don't watch my movies at home on a 32 inch TV.

REALLY!? Not sure you call a packed theatre with only 50 people in it. Movie theatre's will survive but not in current form....they will go bankrupt first then their cost of doing business will go down signficantly allowing them to make a profit. So, we wait until CGX goes under. GTFO!
