As of today the "reputation" (I assume it means the number of posted messages on Stockhouse" is
157. What was the reason for this drastic reduction? In 2015 my number was over 700!

Hopefully this does nor reflect the accuracy of other data kept and shown by Stockhouse.

I notice the 'Rep' number seems to go down at the start of every month, I've been going with the theory that it washes out the old thumbs up you have recieved In the past if it's older than 24 months or something.

That said, I could not care less if I get a thumbs up to any message I post, the info, discussion or entertainment is worth more than 'Rep' which is the equivalent to a Facebook 'Like'. I think the idea was it would give a value to a posters statements over others which was a dumb idea, especially when you have spamming accounts and multi user accounts that use that to thumbs up everything they post, also in the past you could 'like' your own messages.

There are a few well known accounts that post regularly that seem to have 'followers' (or multiple accounts) that like everything they post which is why they get big numbers for 'rep' yet the substance of their posts are nothing. One in particular just basically posts when they get a dividend payout from every company they own, anouther seems like a news robot that is set to post on a ticker after any mention of the ticker from a select number of sites or that may broadly involve the sector. Like any forum based site there is alotta useless 'fluff' here to filter through and the way they have set things up the 'fluff' is given credit alot of the time.

And if you wanna talk about the record keeping here, you should notice that some boards get 'washed out' with past messages seem to disappear but super old messages are kept. It's an issue with some smaller followed stocks that may get a few messages every few months then one day you see that everything is gone except stuff posted back in 2016, you can try and go through your own profile to find the messages you posted on that company and they will be gone from your profile too...

Don't take this website that seriously, the main concern they have is to sell all the several ads on every page view they get or paid pumping/mentions of various stocks or news link sites. Just in this reply, I see 4 ad bubbles, 1 sponsored news section and 20ish likely sponsored news links and a site product they are trying to sell to give you more sponsored news.
