Cardinal Energy Ltd. is an oil and gas company with operations focused on low decline oil in Western Canada. As I said, individual polls can be way off but when taken as an aggregate, polls did ok. Nate Silver (also quoted in that wiki article) does a good job of tracking which polls have decent methodology and are more reliable. If you'd taken a look at his website (fivethirtyeight) during the election, you would not be as surprised by a Trump win as if you had followed CNN. That's because the pundits and their interpretation of the polling was much more off than the polling was.

Some hilarious ones there.  NBC and HuffPoo, for example.  The Atlantic, 15% lead for Hillary.
