RE:RE:RE:RE:anyone think CJ will announce a dividend on Nov 4 2021 ?

Yay, someone better than me! I like your maths better and yes that does make sense about the barrel cost staying the same, I got too playful with the calculator for my own good...

You mentioned royalties, I've never noticed that mentioned, who do we pay royalties too? I also own Freehold Royalties (for less than 2 months) I haven't noticed the names mentioned together but I know Freehold owns a crazy amount of royalty rights, I also have not seen Cardinal mentioned in a Topaz release months ago when I did a quick run through. I looked through the website and found nothing but I wouldn't know where to look, maybe in the year end booklet that I have in a storage box somewhere? In a quick google search I see that we sold some Royalties in February but I don't really understand to whom.

Thank you for bringing this up cause it's rather interesting to me now, would be kinda fun when I know one company is funding anouther, I also own Pembina, Russel Metals, Bonterra and Cresant Point and I do know Pembina ships much of product Freehold collects on as I've seen mentions of it and Russel Metals provides or provided products to Pembina and very likely my 3 producing names, I don't know royalty status of CPG or BNE either, it seems I've weaved an interesting web which other than Freehold-Pembina-Russel I've never thought about deeper, I'm pretty positive Cresant Point and Bonterra are not on the Pembina pipe system (I also don't know thier royalty statuses), but I'm gonna have to dive into this more to find out for sure.

Finally I'm a fan of your option #1, I'm not a fan of buy backs tho I understand how they can add value to the investment, I prefer to pocket my 'value' with a payout rather than it be on paper and dependant on share price sedimate at any given time as share prices can swing in directions when value says otherwise. I tend to feel buybacks reward those who are sellers more than the holders altho I understand the arguments to the opposite.
