US shale in decline

Recently some articles related to US shale production is in decline? Is this based on oil prices or a fact? Is Ranger oil production Shale or conventional? Your imput would be appreciated.

The Permian sure as heck isn't in decline. They may be drilling second tier areas, but production keeps rising.

Production keeps rising but at higher costs per BTU.  Eventually this will facor into at what price they decide to reduce rigs and shut in production. GLTA
