If you read through any of the annual or quarterly reports of the companies whose shares you own, you should be able to get an answer to that question fairly quickly.

You would think there would be a list of who we paid, how much and the dates... But in reading through the MD&A Quarterly, Annual reports (some that are over 100 pages long) and other documents, the most I can find is a breakdown on a couple classifications of 'Crown Royalites' to Alberta and Saskatchewan and thier agreement rates, but it doesn't break down how much we paid to who. On breakdowns of producing properties, I see some mention they pay a royalty and the breakdown of costs to the barrel, but no specific mention of who we pay the royalties to, just that they are there. I can see a thorough breakdown on every Hedge/Derivative transaction made in the year and the dates.

Ive gone through a few reports of BNE, CPG, BTE (Twin Butte) over the years and never noticed specific breakdowns (nor have I really been looking for them before this spurred my interest), either I'm missing it or I'm looking at wrong documents for it, or they don't have agreements with other companies. I always see one line on the reports that says how much they paid in royalties on expenses for the quarter or year but that's as far as I get...

If someone could point that out or pass along the info, that would be appreciated. Otherwise it would be a case of checking through public royalty companies I'm aware of and looking kinda aimlessly throughout everyone of their agreements.
