RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Confirmation the IEA is a political admin

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Confirmation the IEA is a political adminThe fact that the IEA is a "political mouthpiece certain governments and movements" is widely known and you are right to not take credit for it for that reason.  Whether or not certain O&G analysts or the oil industry regard is as such is moot.  It is and was political and always has been.  It was formed by member countries and represented by their governments as all countries are represented by their currently ruling governments.  As these member countries' citizenship's views changed so did the government's views as they were elected by these citizens that were encouraged by the movements you mentioned to change their political leaders.  The IEA's stance then changed to relfelct these views but conservation has always been at the core as non-renewables are just that; finite and non-renewable.

Whether their stance is right or wrong is also moot.  The point is they are and always were political as any administration formed by governments are just by definition and function.  Therefore your providing "proof" of it is pointless.

But the transition away from fossil fuels isn't about conservation - it's about climate change ideology and alarmism. A lot can be said about why that is happening on a political front and the questionable science that supports the climate narrative but we don't need to delve into that here.

But standing up at COP28 to push the political adgenda of those there to transition away from O&G; contrary to what they say, is not economically feasible (trillions $), less efficient ( less condensed energy), which will add greatly to inflation and lead to mass food shortages and ulitmately wars.

I shouldn't and don't want to take credit for saying IEA is more of a political mouthpiece for certain governments and movements -  it actually came from O&G analysts and is the general consensus amoungst the oil industry.
