Trying to keep the oil price below $90?

Biden sold 40% of the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve back in October 2023, to keep fuel prices down. Recently the Biden administration canceled  a plan to purchase 3 million barrels for the SPR. 

Sounds like they are trying to keep oil below $90, but are just delaying the inevitable
