Regime change in Iran?

Are we witnessing the beginning of regime change? Keep in mind that some media in authoritarian countries use the term "hard landing" to describe an actual plane crash!
In my opinion, it does seem strange that two of Iran's top diplomats were on the same helicopter!

Just speculation Kherson but that means little. In reality nothing is changing because despite a new puppet President to be sort of elected, the country is controlled by the Extreeme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Veritas, I did not speculate, I simply asked the question. As for me speculating, which I am now about to do, I believe that a lot could change in Iran within a year. Let's not forget that Khamenei is in ill health and when he dies, there will be a power vacuum. Kherson

Fair enough, Raisi was to be one of the candidates to replace Kamenei but that changed with the crash. The question is did they take Raisi out or was it a true accident? What was Raisi and his foreign minister doing flying in very poor weather? Perhaps he wasn't Extreem enough and this shows the west knows little about the inner personal dynamics of Iranian politics.  We can assume that ...more

Iran will not change, that is just silly. They will have a more radicalized President, that is all. BTW in Iran the President is not the head of state, it is their Suprem Leader.
