griz....they cant sell the company....CRTC would oversee and not allow one broadcaster have multiple licenses in same market....for example   Global BC....is a winner but CTV operates in Same market....So BELL media would be competing against themselves....and no license would be approved....Bell would have to sell their Vancouver station....Same as Ontario......No one wants any specialty

This is one that they hope they can develop separate revenue streams other than tv and radio,,,,They could be thinking in terms of shuttering some radio stations...Does Southern Ontario need 100 radio signals? How many sports talk radio stations does Toronto - Hamilton need?

CRTC needs to get with the times and drop some of the protectionism, for example why couldn't a US company like Amazon buy a Canadian asset with their Canadian division? Should be able to do it IMO
