Unlike telecoms which have specific regions they operate in, the vast majority of tv stations (that aren't French) are national. If Bell cannot buy a couple French tv stations, foreign companies cannot buyout, Quebecor not being national, Telus focusing on non-telecom operations, Rogers attempting to buy Shaw.
