RE: Arch CoalFor 2010, ICG reported sales of 16.3 Million tons of coal with a revenue of 1.075 Billion $. The average price per ton is reported at $ 66 and the average cost per ton is reported at $ 52 i.e. only $ 14 per ton profit. The company reports to have 13 mines in operation ( 1 in Illinois and the rest in the coal belt of Appalachia). Given the low sales price per ton they are producing mostly thermal coal, but have metcoal in the proven reserve category. Overall reserve is stated at just over 1 Billion tons. The S/P high in 2010 was around $ 8.50 so the sales price of 14.60 per share is a 70 % premium. Not a bad deal for those holding ICG shares.
As for CMK, let's see the first shipment to Corpus Christi happening.
