Re: the secret weapon of the retail investor All too often we hear how weak and vulnerable the little guy is in comparison, to the elephants in the business, hedge funds, mutual funds or pension funds. The secret weapon of the little guy in the Stock Market, believe it or not, is TIME. The big boys have time against them for every quarter they have to answer the question of the fund or their boss "what have you done for us this quarter" and if the results are no good, their head is on the line. So unless CMK performs here and now, for instance, " we dump" that is their attitude; some of them, especially the hedge funds, the chief crooks in the business, when they control a substantial stake in the company are forcing the management out. That is why they are not allowed to own more than 10% of the stock in the company. But a retail investor, is not pressed for time; he/she can wait out the storm. But not the big boys. So when these guys dump the stock, it does not mean there is something wrong with the company, they are simply pressed for time and they deploy their funds elsewhere. But we, the little guys can wait. That is what we mean sometimes that "small is beautiful". Have a good day in the market.
