RE: RE: China Starts To PANIC... No takeover of Colonial or Cline.
I was reading last week's earning release transcripts for Peabody Energy and here was their take on met coal markets.
" Right now, the demand for hard coking coal is remaining firm. And as always in these markets, the lower quality coals, particularly the semi-soft, not necessarily the PCI coals, but the semi-soft coking coals begin to widen on that differential to hard coking"
Doesn't sound like Cline's semi soft coal will be sold anytime soon. It's been 3 weeks since Cline announced the production suspension of the mine and layoff of 178 workers. Does anyone else have a feeling that this mine will be shut down for more than the 60 days that Cline originally planned?
