I would buy little here and there until we see a clear picture on how this is going to go! But with a buyout I think earlier speculators will begin to push the shares higher before even a deal is announced!
Bates is really stubborn and I am sure the management of CMK been approached several times in the past to sell the company but were probably sitting way out in left field....and now may have come to their senses that they need to be realistic and except a fair deal now and not nickel and dime a potential buyer IMO.
Anything close to $300-$500 million is good. But I think Bates is still trying to spin this sale of the company on the reserves of 619 million tons or asking about $2.00 per ton or $1.2 billion! There is no way in h ell he is going to get this much....I would be happy with $1.00 or $619 million if we get lucky...right now is all about being lucky!
