RE: CNJ's trailing P/E is currently 18Eyemdaman, I think you need to be careful with the wording used when posting comments on these boards not to mention posting misleading figures that are personal opinions rather than actual earnings estimates from analysts or company guidance. Using a term such as "it is expected" can be misleading if in fact it is actually your own opinion. As was pointed out by poundmaker, the consensus estimates from analysts are for less than 10% growth...in fact TD actually lowered their FY2004 EPS estimate to $0.49 on Oct 3 which will bring the consensus down even further. To state that the earnings will grow by at least 25% in FY2004 simply because they grew by such a huge amount in FY2003 is not accurate except as an opinion only. In regards to the earnings growth for CNJ, they are a relatively young, fast growing, highly profitable company with many significant irons in the fire. The EPS has been choppy year to year...the company guidance has been very limited. FY2003 was a fabulous year unlike any other they have had in recent times....that won't be repeated on any kind of consistant basis. However I do believe that the EPS growth potential over the next few years is significant and that the stock is therefore undervalued but that growth will likely continue to be somewhat erratic. I also believe that they will exceed EPS growth of 10% for FY2004 but it is difficult to say with any feeling of accuracy. IMO this is a great stock to put away & hold for the next 5-10 years. I think you will be handsomely rewarded for doing so...it is not a trading stock or one for short term thinkers...it will exhibit short burst upwards when you least expect it on certain news. However keeping realistic expectations for the stock within our conversations would be a wise course of action from my perspective. Cheers!!!
