Sucks short term...but paying large dividend now is not good sense.
It shows to me that Waterous is serious about share appreciation and keeping the company healthy. Could have taken easy way out and kept lining their pocket with dividend but the fact that they did this indicates they serious about wealth building at expense of short term gain.

Yeah, makes sense to focus on paying back the debt for now. I think they should've used the 100 million to pay back the debt and not buyback shares at $4 previously, yet that's done now. They also indicated that non-core assets may be sold to pay back debt. It will take some time to restructure the company in reducing the debt, yet I don't see any other problem in doing so. the trading of this stock the last several days is as sketchy as hell. Never fails that they knew before hand what was up. Yet as shareholders get slapped again. Just hope the dividend money saved will push stock higher months out. Is this the beginning of the end?

Good call on this a while back. Cutting the div was smart. This company can pay down debt by 50mil a year and still keep production flat   I bought today GLTA
