So lets be on the safe side. A letter takes two days to arrive in town so when the letter was initially written for me would be the date I could trade had I known. Today is the 17th so that would have been Monday the 15th Dec. I think that would be about right as the brokerage has to be in possession of the new shares and dispose of the old that takes time to be sure every shareholder has their proper allotment.
