Energy Security
My guess is that following recent events a whole new conversation will be started soon concerning energy security . Emvironmentalists wiil argue with their tortured logic that the vortex is a direct consequence of global warming and hence the faster we get rid of hydrocarbons the better. Pragmatists will reply that much more attention must be given to redundant supply sytems with strengthened reliability. Natural gas will be front and center of this issue. If nothing else, it should bring a lot more attention to the producers and the distribution system. I really believe this will be much more positive for us than the tempoary spike we are currently going through..
At the very least it should muffle the voices of our shrillest critics !!

What went wrong on the nat gas side? well freeze offs ,inadequate distribution systems, exploitive trading systems, unnecessary regulatons, hording of supplies ? just a few suggestions for discussion about how they may have either added to the problem or helped to alleviate it.
