Crew Energy Inc > What’s going on??

What’s going on??

I don't know if I'll ever understand how these Oil & Gas stocks trade. Oils up, heading into heating season gas slightly higher than summer time pricing, and SP is tanking. Increased Liquids production soon will show up on the balance sheet,  LNG Canada takeaway just around the corner. You would think we would see strengthening from the Monteny Players not sever weakness. I don't get it.
Frustrated to say the least.

Are the shorts settling up before the next leg up and trying to drive the sector down? ??

I do not know what is happening either.  What surprises me, still, is that CR seems to be more volatile than others.  I understood that when they had $300M of debt, but now?  Maybe it is because they do not pay a dividend. I read this article below from the Globe earlier this week.  People are clearly selling oil and gas ETF. Canadian ETF trends: Money market craze ...more

Call me crazy , yet I and you and many others all spotted Crew as an Outstanding performer years ago. That has not changed one bit IMO.  In fact , I only hope that Crew will forget about borrowing limits by selling lots of  5 yr new notes that would probably cost under  8% Forget about hedging and go all out on drilling and developing especially Groundbirch as fast as possible Nat ...more

Oldnagger is swinging for the fence here.

Times have changed , the puck is now at the other end of the rink. I am not not swinging for the fence , I want to score on an unattended goal Everytime someone buys an EV , odds are that it will ultimately be fueled by NG The price of NG is ridiculously low compared to alternatives such as gasoline and diesel From its low perch there is a lot of sky above. The market will not only correct itself ...more

Nuttals view on oil stocks. https://twitter.com/ericnuttall/status/1704522037484503195/photo/1 I do not own any crew, I trade it on occasion as the ugly sister

Here is the question , do you  evaluate a company that has over 140 years of North America,'s nearly least expensive natural gas reserves on by metrics based on the current very weak and probably manipulated (By Biden ) market conditions ?

Is Oldnagger right about the prospects of nat gas and Crew?  Probably. Let's have some fun. If Crew decided to issue a $300M bond, and you had to decide what to do with it, would you a) drill for condensate b) drill for nat gas c) build the Groundbirch plant, but with no production yet I would pick a).  Oldnagger would say "issue $900M and do all 3". I still remember ...more

Note the Old part of Oldnagger. These days I get my thrills from making money. To answer your question , in all seriousness , I would like to see Crew rise ASAP. First, get to 11000 bpd of condensates. Then concurrently lock in as much funding as is needed to get the groundbirch plant underway. This is not different really than the current plan and I strongly believe it will work  Where I may ...more

We agree on most points.  I would also like to see 11,000 boe/d of condensate asap.  Then, they could borrow $300-350M and work on the Groundbirch plant.
