Colonoscopy reimbursement increases
I was just told that the local hospital (the largest in the area) has increased the reimbursement for a Colonoscopy because the multiplier for anesthesia was lifted about 25%. That completely mitigates the decrease in units from 5 to 4 next year. For this hospital the reimbursement for 2018 will remain unchanged. How large is it? The hospital has over 800 physicians on staff and has over 15,000 admissions.
