RE:RE:what will it take?
Re. Acquisition Announcements:
CRH closed at $2.68 on September 10....They then announced three acquisitions in rapid succession (September 11, 22, 28).....CRH closed today at $3.20, a gain of about 19% off of a price that was close to a 52-week low......If earnings disappoint again, the stock will likely fall back to under $3.00.....
Bottom line: Acquisitions alone aren't going to do it for this company in my view - I think those days are gone - big players want to see bottom line results for CRH shareholders, so earnings reports and industry news will determine how well this company does in terms of sustained stock price performance....
Re. Institutional Holdings:
You'll know when big players are hopping on board.....It will be if / when the share price rallies for an extended period of time......Until then, you'll see a back and forth: Some large shareholders buying, others selling.........
