Insider Trading Question

Is there anything irregular in the trades on Nov 17th and the 22nd, before the news of the special committee came out after the close on Nov 22nd?

Not really, other than being a pretty bullish sign that insiders are buying small amounts of shares. I like to see as well that it's not just the CEO and there's a variety of insiders who were buying in November - it's Cory Reid as an example in the most recent one, who is the Chief Technical Officer buying up whatever he can. Thanks for the reply. From what I've read on the net, it sounds like the annoucement isn't considered a material announcement, so trading before it is not unusual. I don't know if others concur. Also good to know that they're in a blackout now (is that for sure), as it makes sense that they would be. On a side note, I looked at Zendesk on the NYSE, as they are in a similar ...more

Comment on the blackout period is speculation - but each company will have an insider trading policy which covers events like when you're allowed to trade and when there's blackout periods.  For example, after the end of a quarter, almost every public company will have a policy to restrict insider trading until the quarter is released.   Management here does not want to get ...more
