The ball has start to roll in NY. Keep in mind that each dispensary will have to get their product, training and financing from someone. CURA should be well positioned to benefit from this now, but to open its own stores may take 3 years and at least $5 million???

They-re going to need wholesalers right? The MSOS can provide quality branded products but the prices are going to be too high and he illicit market will once again triumph. I'm very skeptical of the effectiveness of the social equity approach behind NY licenses.

I think the only thing the black market sells is straight up weed, the equivalant of moon shine before alcohol prohibition ended.  The mj sector offers vapes, edibles, drinks but most importantly labels what is in it - like, cbd vs thc, plus reasearch for medical use.  This is what the catalyst will be for the sector as the general population becomes more familar with it. He Does not need to sign it, as long as he doesn't veto it will become law. If he abstains then he is sending a clear message that nothing else will happen on his watch.
