NY Issues First 36 Rec Licenses

The ball has start to roll in NY. Keep in mind that each dispensary will have to get their product, training and financing from someone. CURA should be well positioned to benefit from this now, but to open its own stores may take 3 years and at least $5 million???

They really mucked it up. The illicit (aka legacy) market will thrive in NY. Dumb.

They-re going to need wholesalers right? The MSOS can provide quality branded products but the prices are going to be too high and he illicit market will once again triumph. I'm very skeptical of the effectiveness of the social equity approach behind NY licenses.

I think the only thing the black market sells is straight up weed, the equivalant of moon shine before alcohol prohibition ended.  The mj sector offers vapes, edibles, drinks but most importantly labels what is in it - like, cbd vs thc, plus reasearch for medical use.  This is what the catalyst will be for the sector as the general population becomes more familar with it. All a ruse. Seriously, I think the president is given 7 days to sign. Still not that significant for MSOS. More needs to be done and fast. I saw Krispy Kream, NFL, Methodists and Big Pharma are fighting against Cannabis legalization. Follow the $.

Yeah weird, Bojo said there would e a study released by now. They will probably time it with the president signing of the Research Act. That's what I would do.

“Yes he’ll sign it,” a White House spokesperson said https://www.forbes.com/sites/ajherrington/2022/11/21/biden-will-sign-medical-marijuana-research-bill/?sh=535284582e0c Thats sounds promising, unless he's fibbing again after securing the senate

He Does not need to sign it, as long as he doesn't veto it will become law. If he abstains then he is sending a clear message that nothing else will happen on his watch.

"The Medical Marijuana and Cannabidiol Research Expansion Act, passed on Nov. 16 by the US Senate, was drafted by Smart Approaches to Marijuana, a nonprofit that opposes marijuana’s legalization and defines its mission as preventing another Big Tobacco." Source: SAM Twitter.

Again if Biden is talking expungement then resheduling has to follow, if not then it doesn't make sense that inmates would be recycled back to the slammer over another mj infraction.
