1st Time HOPE Act Brought into the Senate

HOPE Act is a federal grant program to fund the expunging or sealing of state-level cannabis offenses. This could be tucked into SAFER Banking which will be tucked into the Must Pass Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization legislation. FAA reauthorization, must pass by May 10th. Schumer has all the power to make this happen. We are three weeks away.

Committee -House/Senate to decide if SAFER/HOPE added on April 29th-30th to the FAA Bill? May 10th deadline. House/Senate off 22-26. SAFER has the votes as a stand alone in the House/Senate, doesn’t need to be tucked in.. DEA News April 25-26th? Don Murphy is guessing Friday April 19th (tomorrow). I think the gov will try to avoid the 19th too close to the 420 holiday. Or maybe not...what a ...more
