No news is not good news

In their press release, CUS management set the expectation that a court decision could be made today and contruction could start tomorrow.  If there is no announcement by the time markets open on Monday the stock will take another hit.

Where is the news? Good or bad we deserve to know. I was really expecting something this evening. Monday could be very bleak, it doesn't look real likely anything (good) will be announced this weekend. PS> Read Nawars seekingnalpha comments/bio he is (has been) pulling away from CUS - good choice.

[/quote Thanks peterm for the information about Nawar pulling away from Canexus. I al also glad that you posted that tidbit and not me as this clown Nawar has gotten a lot of unsuspecting folks into this stock. If you don't believe me, just read of the recent posts concerning the clown Nawar... What we now have here is the withholding of Material Information by Canexus concerning the delayed ...more

[/quote I think it is possible  that they went back to the negotiating table. Regardless of the court decision they still need to work out how they do business in the future. Canexus is important to Meg and visa versa.  If I am right they would not want to issue a release until they have worked something out.  Hopefully we will get something before markets open. GLTA

Kherson, you have no business calling out Nawer as a clown and blaming him for "sheeple" following him. Sheeple find their own trouble.  Nawer provided detailed, well researched and objective opinions on the investment based on the facts as presented. He was very clear in establishing it was his views and allowed for differences of opinion. He didn't make wild ...more

"Read Nawars seekingnalpha comments/bio he is (has been) pulling away from CUS" Really?  Would you have a link to those comments?  I have had a look and can't find them.  Or perhaps you could cut and paste a few of them here for us to see.

I am with you PJN. Either these people are too lazy to post links or they do not exist. Either way that type of post does not contribute to the discussion or to the credibility of the authors. Not that I really care. Nawar has contributed a lot of good information but at this point his opinions would be just as speculative as anyone elses. GLTA

|Please people - I don't post made up krap - I'll admit my knowledge and expertise is limited but I read as much as I can. I am also no ally of Kherson but do read his posts as I read everyone else's. As for the quote here it is ' Nawar Alsaadi Current top picks for capital gain/income: PWT, TBE and RMM.UN, for income DRG.UN and AGF.B. Cutting down on CUS in favour of those names ...more

Thank you. I am able to see it now on twitter. https://twitter.com/pentamillionair The Aug 20 tweet does say he is cutting down on CUS. I don't believe he said so here, though. Human nature, I suppose.

peterm wrote Patience!  Relevant News will be released as it unfolds. It is very possible that the judge reserved judgment (so as to research something or other) and will issue a ruling over the weekend or early Monday morning. For example, lawyers will refer to past rulings to support their case. Sometimes, those other rulings are taken out of context (yeah, who would ever think of a ...more

The point that is being missed here is that CUS couldn't get a quick bench ruling so the contractual terms / obligations are not clear and immediately enforceable. In other words MEG has CUS by the short and curlies - CUS needs the tie in, MEG is a customer and any parties interested in purchasing NATO will head for the hills and wait for the dust to settle on this issue. Yes, MEG and CUS ...more

Could be a media black out or something.  Otherwise MEG could and would have released news as well.
