Why buy SPB at the moment, when you can buy CUS and convert

to SPB and end up paying a big discount for your SPB shares. AT 1.48 you are only paying $9.67 per SPB share which is about $10.71.

Just a shout out to the Deb holders here, you're the only ones that made $$$ here.  Nobody on here made $$$ common shares, unless you almost perfectly timed catching a falling knife. all in all, my disappointment in Doug is off the charts.  He said he'd turn this shop around and the deal given first to Cenovus and now Superior are just outrageously poor.  He show nothing ...more

"Why buy SPB at the moment?"  Currently CUS trades at a (approximate) discount of 10% based on the conversion factor.  So it may appear to make sense to buy CUS instead of SPB. However, there is about nine months to go before the deal closes.  Is it worth holding for 1% discount a month. Then by buying CUS instead of SPB you lose on the generous monthly dividend paid by ...more

A year ago, Canexus was worth $4.33 Can a share! A lot has changed since then! Kherson

The deal needs to be approved by the shareholders in order to convert. So there is some risk of no conversion in which case you will end up as Canexus shareholder and not a Superior shareholder.
