It looks as if we're almost out of the woods. It will take a few quarters before the situation is more predictable. It will be interesting to see what Q2 brings.

It would be nice if they could find a few nickels to buy some of the convert's at the market rate.  I don't own any but it would be a good way to reduce debt at less than par value and reduce interest expense. I doubt that the senior debt holders would allow them to do that.

Canexus is certainly not out of the woods! One only has to listen to the Conference Call to realize just how desperate the situation has now become. Canexus has alot banking on receiving the $25 million reverse termination fee, but the problem is that they do not have a legal leg to stand on. The question to Ross as to what was in the notice from Superior that referred to

almost out of the woods..i am not an accountant  but it seems that to service the debt alone is somewhere in the 40 to 50 million a year.....then you have 25 millions for maintenance and you show 110 millions cash operating profit not including the one time cost...yet you claim you will pay down 100 millions...... wow hey matt how many new shares are you buying in a new offer???? and don t

My bet is the $25 mill is paid with a fast court date. CUS has generated lots of cash in the past and the big drains are finished. Banks can be paid off and the converts either converted or paid off with new bank debt. Good riddance to the suitor and thanks for the $25 mill. You said you are not an accountant, I think your knowledge of what management posts in the presentation is not relevant.
