OIL vs EV

OIL is doing fine, prices are doing badly,, CVE /ATH, Ottawa is putting all our money into EV Batteries, $40b+++, Tesla and ford announced cutbacks, lowered prices, and now there is a push back to gas vehicles, why is oil down? The big money managers suggest recession/china/ inflation, but oil still is slowly climbing up till the big move come spring... Oil is on sale.
