I've stated before that COP's massive position can only be absorbed by a hedge fund, pension fund or CVE itself at some point. Clearly players #1 and 2 have not bought even at a massive discount, but I think CVE will but they will wait until oil continues to move up and stabilize as well as watching the debt drop. This would be by far the best scenario - paid substantial of shares to acquire COP portion only to use that same asset to buyback shares. 50% dividend increase makes a lot of sense it would still only be 2.4% yield which is comparative to Imo but less than SU, CNQ & HSE
