The Company's segments include Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate and Eliminations. Its Upstream segment includes Oil Sands, Conventional, and Offshore. Its Downstream segment consists of Canadian Manufacturing, and United States Manufacturing. The Company's upstream operations include oil sands projects in northern Alberta, thermal and conventional crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) projects across Western Canada, crude oil production offshore Newfoundland and Labrador and natural gas and NGLs production offshore China and Indonesia. The Company's downstream operations include upgrading and refining operations in Canada and the United States, and commercial fuel operations across Canada.

strong finish at the end

I noticed three key things with Cenovus:
1. 50 MDA is starting to go back up. For a little while the 50 MDA was narrowing wtih the 200 MDA which would be a bearish technical move had it crossed
2. MACD is trending nicely
3. Since June 5th there have been higher highs and higher lows

Again we need strong earnings and strong draws next week. If the market can rally on a rate cut as well that definitely will help. Cenovus definitely feels like it wants to breakout but that $14 range has been resistance TWICE now so look for that ceiling. If for some reason, CVE can close and break above that range we could see a similar breakout like what HSE did last year on the upside.
