Yep, when will world realize that Omicron is minimal. Watch interview starting at 5:40, UK total is 10 with Omicron in hospital, none of which in ICU, 1 dead with (not from) Omicron: https://youtu.be/QEt8t2XTWYk Crazy world.

The Government's are all in on it, using the lockdowns to control and usher in the vax passports which will lead to a social credit system and digital currency and full control  jmho The Stag :(

Don't want to turn this into a covid BB, but for what it's worth, while Omicron might not necessarily be more dangerous (and probably isn't) for the vaccinated, it is much more contagious so the unvaccinated are now at much greater risk of catching it. And if you are unvaccinated, then you will wind up in hospital/ICUs and thereby potentially overload the medical system. GLTA

Symptoms say , common cold , vaxed are spreading it and contracting it GLTA

NBC report said that 95% of people on the ship — and 98% of those who contracted COVID-19 — were vaccinated under those guidelines. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/48-people-test-positive-covid-145940297.html quote=retiredcf]Don't want to turn this into a covid BB, but for what it's worth, while Omicron might not necessarily be more dangerous (and probably isn't) for the vaccinated, it is ...more

Society is now in a permanent state of crisis but that won't stop CVE going forward. You notice that even on a bad day like this investors are buying the dip to take advantage of a very good price and it starts to climb back up to where it was before the inevitable morning sell-off from the chicken littles. It's ironic that even in a week when you announce an $800M sale that your share ...more

That's my guess too. The basic strategy is to reduce debt to an interim level and then raise the dividend--it's not rocket science and Alex knows this. A strong balance sheet coupled with a solid dividend is what CVE shareholders wanted for the last decade. That's what the risk profile was supposed to be ---before the idiot went out and spent 18B in acquistions and overpaid by half.  ...more

I agree with the debt reduction tactic. It will position the company to make meaningful returns to shareholders. I'm a believer in growth as well, but not at the risk of losing the BBB+ credit ratings. For now pay back expensive debt. Wait for MEG to fall into trouble and then aquire on the cheap. Reducing debt in my personal life helped position me to splurge on cheap stocks in 2020. Now I ...more

I'm glad to hear you have done alright and good luck in 2022. Debt is a killer and it got both CVE and HSE in a lot of trouble. They spent money they didn't have and now that the new entity is reducing net debt the market is slowly but cautiously stepping back in. If they reach their interim debt target by March 31st and substantially increase the dividend then a lot of pension funds are ...more

but this is a good window of time to unload the junks. After the gas stations, tucker, i think cve should sell off their cold heavy and EOR asset would be a good move. Once the clutters are gone, opportunity of new and better asset will look attractive.   Complicated and high cost asset takes more manpower to manage than a good asset.
Comment by PabloLafortune on Dec 23, 2021 12:04pm
Yup - Husky assets could be summarized as a) offshore (and retail) which AP kept the good and sold/restructured the bad b) diverse if not unwieldy mix of 2nd tier upstream assets which ought to be and are being sold presumably to be replaced by an expansion (or....) of CVE's much better SAGD operations and c) the integrated assets that are being retained and optimized. My only comment is I ...more

let me tell u, we ALL will catch 1 of the the covid variants 1 day, if not delta, not omicron, some other 1 down the road. The ignorants still keep blaming on the unvaxxed when delta and omicrons came from, and spread by the vaccinated ones.  Keep blaming the unvaxxed and believing on the vaccine as the savior, the covid virus will go away, NOT.  mRNA is a fool's paradise because it& ...more

Agreed, those blaming the unvaxed might want to see this article: https://headlineusa.com/cdc-8-10-omicron-fully-vaxxed/?utm_source=HUSAemail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=HUSAemail

i saw this coming when the vaxxed are shaming the unvaxxed for spreading covid variant when in truth it is the vaxxed subjects are spawner, incubator, carrier and spreader of covid varrants.   Saw tha variants explosion coming from day 1 of vaccination around Dec 2020.  The mRNA is not a bullet but shotshell pellets that approximate kill potential for the target SAR CoV2 virus.  ...more

I know The Donald is not the best communicator at times, but this is really what he was talking about with the bleach incident. He actually mixed up his own batch of vaccine, based upon the Reddit Recipe, and he kept it in a clorox bottle ... hence the confusion.  See the r/facepalm thread. /s /smh
Comment by mrbb on Dec 23, 2021 1:15am
you're too fawny. However, there wasn't any covid vaccine in existence when trump was affected with covid while in office.  Therefore, i can't find the humor or logic in your poorly constructed joke
