RE:RE:RE:Insider Transactions Most likely for future income splitting between family members (e.g. A family trust could own the common shares of the holdco).  He would also probably create some Shareholder Loan balance from the transaction, giving him personal access to corporate cash, when available.  There is no tax advantage in taxing capital gains and public company dividends in a corporation versus personally.

As far as I know, the company is in good shape and the recent results are being viewed as an overall positive by the analysts.  I've had a half dozen detailed reports across my desk so far.  Consensus seems to be that earnings will come into their own in Q2/Q3.
