Always remember to keep things in perspective

Always remember to keep things in perspective

For all of those people who can't even imagine earning a few million dollars in their lifetime (let alone in a single year), please do the following:

Pick a successful company that you know well (your employer?);

Add up the salaries of the top management employee(s) of that company;

Divide this total by the company's net earnings, calculated prior to the deduction of these salaries;

What is the % of earnings paid to top management?  How does this compare to the management salaries that you are questioning?  Did the questioned management increase the annual net earnings for the company's owners?

Remember:  A baby elephant weighs 200 lbs.
