RE:RE:RE:Calm restored You're 100% right and I think that because this is a headline company, the lack of information about the buyout makes the price stay where it is and short reign free in the meantime. But, they cannot release news just to satisfy our dissatisfaction with how the SP is moving. If they are in talks, they must remain quiet because of how it affects both parties. The market may be unconvinced about it, but when you think about it, it actually makes sense, with developments over the past months, to seek a privatization of the company. If I'm not mistaken, MT did say that the political attention about pricing is cyclical and is all ''politics''. Perhaps, he believes it best to go private, pay down debt and improve the financials, and make a public comeback with a new IPO. Who knows. I really believe that he wants to distance himself as much as possible from all the noise, whatever it takes.
Also, that short guy who went on record accusing MT talked about Biovail, where MT worked before. He conveniently ''forgot'' to say that MT had left Biovail BEFORE it was accused of fraudulent behavior. Valeant bought it after, at distressed prices and did what is now history.
