Shorts VS LongsI think existing bondholders (most likely banks) know they won't get much back if this company goes under, hence the new issue to keep this alive. Also think banks know this company has a good chance of surviving otherwise they would not put more money in. When hedge funds have more confidence in the company there will be a short squeeze as existing shorts will start to cover.
